For insurers & underwriters

The first passive wildfire protection system built for underwriting certainty.

Argentmantle gives carriers the structural documentation, third-party test data, and repeatable installation standard they need to price WUI risk with confidence.

The underwriting gap

The WUI market isn't uninsurable. It's underdocumented.

Carriers aren't withdrawing from wildland-urban interface zones because the risk is unknowable — they're withdrawing because the current housing stock provides no reliable basis for differentiation. A Chapter 7A-compliant home and a pre-2008 structure look identical on a policy application. Argentmantle changes that.

What Argentmantle provides

Structural protection you can underwrite.

Third-party test data

Every Argentmantle installation is backed by independent laboratory testing to ASTM E2886 and NFPA 285 standards. We provide the test reports, not just the claims.

Repeatable installation standard

Argentmantle is installed by certified builders following a documented installation protocol. Every home receives the same protection — no variation, no exceptions.

Eave protection documentation

Post-fire investigations consistently identify the eave as the primary ignition point. Argentmantle closes that gap with a passive barrier that deploys automatically — no power, no human action required.

Per-home compliance package

Each installation generates a documentation package: installation certificate, product specifications, test data references, and Chapter 7A compliance verification. Underwriters receive everything they need at the policy application stage.

How it works

Passive. Automatic. Permanent.

Argentmantle is integrated into the eave assembly during construction. When ambient temperature at the eave exceeds the threshold associated with ember accumulation, the system deploys a thermal barrier between the exterior fire environment and the roof structure. No power. No sensors. No maintenance. No human decision required.

Why it matters for your book

The homes that survive are the ones you can keep insuring.

01

Reduce total loss frequency

Argentmantle addresses the primary ignition pathway identified in every major California post-fire investigation. Homes with protected eaves survive at higher rates in the same fire environment.

02

Differentiate your WUI book

Not all WUI homes carry the same risk. Argentmantle gives you a documented, verifiable basis for separating high-resilience homes from minimum-compliant construction — and pricing them accordingly.

03

Support rate filings

Third-party test data and documented installation standards provide the actuarial foundation for rate differentiation. We work with carriers to develop the supporting materials required for state rate-filing submissions.

04

Stay in the market

The carriers who will lead in WUI markets over the next decade are the ones building the underwriting infrastructure now. Argentmantle is the structural foundation for a defensible WUI portfolio.

Insurer engagement

Built for the carriers who are staying in the market.

We are actively working with residential property carriers, reinsurers, and state insurance regulators to establish Argentmantle as a recognized risk-reduction measure for WUI underwriting. If your organization is evaluating passive structural protection systems for portfolio differentiation or rate-filing purposes, we want to talk.
